The “Gorets” Family Saga has been dedicated to growng rice in the Albufera Natural Park in Valencia since the end of the 19th century. They still enjoy passion for the world of rice, maintaining the family tradition and transmitting knowledge, experience and #riceculture, for 5 generations. TRADITION Today, the 5th Generation of the family is at the helm of the Arroz Tartana brand, specializing in mono-varietals of rice and derived products, satisfying the culinary needs of chefs, foodies and home cooking, combining cutting edge techniques and ancestral tradition. VANGUARD La Albufera de Valencia is a natural park of great ecological and environmental value, located the east of the Iberian Peninsula. It is formed by a lagoon, the marshes and the "tancats" with the rice fields, and the coastal sandy barrier that separates it from the Mediterranean Sea. It`s a Wonderful place of passage for migratory birds. ENVIRONMENT The cultivation takes place in “Tancats”, land reclaimed from the Albufera lagoon to cultivate rice. Due to the organoleptic properties of the land, its microclimates, and the type and flow of water they receive (being below sea level), the best varieties of rice of special quality are obtained. Arroz Tartana is committed to researching, promoting and disseminating the values of #riceculture, the 2nd most consumed cereal in the world, with over 100,000 different varieties.
